news: nav_info.gifAs part of their product improvement programme, Le Maitre have announced that all their products, manufactured from June 2007, will contain a new Lead-free igniter.

This igniter has a different composition that contains no lead or lead solder. The electrical characteristics are identical to the current version, so there are no issues with wiring the effects in series.

Using lead-free igniters brings all of their pyrotechnic products in line with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) legislation now in force across the world. The lead-free igniters will gradually be finding their way into all PyroFlash and ProStage II products from June 2007 onwards. To identify them, they have red lacquer applied to the fuse head and one of the wires has a red stripe along it.
